Youth Redicivism causes - MA Department of Youth Services
A study seeking to understand the reasons behind youth redicivism in the MA Department of Youth Services' YES program in collaboration with Boston University's CERES Institute.

Problem Statement
The MA Department of Youth Services sought to understand the impact of individual caseworkers in succesfully keeping youth engaged in the state's YES rehabilation program. The project is a collaboration between the MA Department of Youth Services and the Boston University's CERES Institute to answer the question.
The study
The caseworker notes and demographic information of the youth were analyzed to understand trends in engaged youth. The caseworker notes had Natural Language Processing tasks such as topic modeling performed in combination with the youth's demographic and profile information to determine what type of messaging from the caseworkers made them succesful.
